NGO Darpan Registration Process

If NGOs and VOs hope to receive funding or assistance from the central or state governments, they should register on the NGO Darpan site. NGOs and VOs must register on the NGO Darpan portal, obtain the Darpan certificate or unique ID, and meet the requirements to be eligible for FCRA registration and government funding. The following are the steps for registering as an NGO with Darpan:

  1. Visit the NGO Darpan’s official website.
  2. Click on the ‘Login/Register’ on the homepage.
  3. Click on the ‘Sign Up’ option.
  4. Enter the NGO’s name or entity, mobile number, and email, and then click on ‘Submit’.
  5. Enter the name, mobile number, and email of the contact person. Enter the OTP > ‘Submit’.
  6. Enter the NGO’s or entity’s PAN.
  7. Sign in to the portal after creating a password.
  8. Enter the NGO/entity details. Click on ‘Save’.
  9. Enter the member details. Click on ‘Save’.
  10. Enter the details about the source of funds, key contact information, and working area, and then click the ‘Save’ button. When the account reaches 100% completion, a message will appear.
  11. After the profile is completed, the NGO Darpan portal administrator verifies the documents and sends an email to the applicant to generate a unique ID.
  12. Log in and generate the unique ID after receiving the email.
